Dave has such an impressive list of credits as either a session player, a road musician or a songwriter that there isn’t room here for a whole lot more… other than to taste the obvious: his musicianship and energy are a big part of the punch in the Surfaris’ sound!

Raven has recorded or performed with Keith Richards, Norah Jones, John Doe, Steve Earle, Peter Himmelman, Kim Wilson, Vonda Shepherd, Robben Ford, Ricky Martin, Dillon O'Brian, Leah Andreone, Bobby Womack, Michael Des Barres, Steve Jones (of the Sex Pistols), Dread Zeppelin, Jewel, Paula Cole, Beth Hart, Delaney Bramlett, Hank Thompson, Sun 60, Sass Jordan, Greg Ginn (of Black Flag), Meat Puppets, Nancy Sinatra, Lowen and Navarro, Jimmy Z, Amy Grant, T Bone Burnett, Matt Redman, John Elephante, Crystal Lewis, Mark Heard, Randy Stonehill, John Schreiner, Michael W. His songs can be heard in the TV shows Angel, Felicity, Alias, Chronicle, and Senior Year. He has composed music for The Style Channel, Extra, and Celebrity Justice, and co-composed a drum ensemble piece for the burning of the man ceremony at the Burning Man art festival, 2003. His song, "Circuit Rider," has been recorded by Eric Burdon for his forthcoming album.

Raven has performed on the soundtracks of the feature films: Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl, Hurly Burly, and Everlasting Piece and his own songs are in the feature films, Tryst and Never Been Thawed.

He has composed music for Budweiser, sang on a Jack-in-the-Box Commercial, and composed for and appeared in a Volkswagen Commercial.

Dave lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife, Rebecca.
